- **Privacy**: No tracking, no analytics, no external servers. All translation is on-device.
- **Public API**: Phrase Flip does not currently expose a public HTTP API, OpenAPI service description, health endpoint, or public MCP server. A public MCP server may be added later.

**Is Phrase Flip free?**
Yes, Phrase Flip is completely free to download and use. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no hidden costs.

**Does Phrase Flip send my browsing data anywhere?**
No. All translation happens entirely on-device using your browser's built-in translation engine. Your browsing activity never leaves your device, and no data is collected or transmitted.

**How do I see the original English text?**
Hover over any underlined translated sentence — the original English text appears in a tooltip above it. On touch devices, tap the sentence instead.

**Which browsers and platforms does Phrase Flip support?**
Phrase Flip is currently available as a Safari extension on macOS. Chrome and Firefox support is coming soon.

**Can I control how much gets translated?**
Yes. Use the intensity slider in the popup to choose how many sentences get flipped — from a light touch (Low) to full immersion (High). You can also disable Phrase Flip on specific sites.

**Does Phrase Flip work on every website?**
Phrase Flip works on virtually any webpage with text content. It automatically skips navigation menus, buttons, and form fields so it only replaces readable sentence-length content.

**No data collection**: Phrase Flip does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The extension has no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.

**On-device translation**: All translation is performed entirely on your device. The text of the pages you visit never leaves your device and is never sent to any server.

**Preferences**: Phrase Flip stores three preferences locally in your browser (auto-flip on/off, intensity percentage, and target language) using the standard browser extension storage API. These values remain on your device and are never transmitted.

**Permissions**: The extension requests access to page content solely to identify and replace sentences with translations. It does not read, record, or transmit any page content.
